September 8, 2023 | Hyderabad, India - The Hyderabad Art Festival (HAF), organized by Pursuit Branding, transformed the State Gallery of Art into a hub of creativity from September 8th to 10th, 2023. This landmark event celebrated the diversity of Indian art, bringing together artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts from across the nation.

The festival aimed to address a longstanding need in the art community—a platform that not only showcased talent but also empowered artists through recognition and financial support. With ₹9 lakh in art grants up for grabs, the festival provided a unique opportunity for both emerging and established artists to gain exposure and resources to further their craft.

Empowering Artists Across India

The festival’s highlight was its commitment to inclusivity. Artists from across India could apply for grants through a user-friendly online platform, ensuring accessibility. An esteemed jury, including prominent artists Bijay Biswaal, Sadashiv Sawant, Fawad Tamkanat, and Prafull Sawant, carefully evaluated applications to select the most deserving recipients.

Day 1 began with the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Dr. K. Lakshmi, IAS, Director of the State Gallery of Art, followed by mesmerizing live demonstrations. Micro-portrait artists Zarrin Hussain and Sushmit Kishore showcased their intricate skills, and Ramesh Aundhkar dazzled attendees with a 4D kaleidoscope demonstration.

A Three-Day Artistic Extravaganza

On Day 2, renowned artist Bijay Biswaal captivated audiences with an acrylic painting demonstration, followed by an insightful panel discussion on “Art and Emotion: The Power to Evoke”. The evening concluded with a breathtaking watercolor demonstration by Prafull B. Sawant, attended by actor Amala Akkineni, who praised the talent on display.

Day 3 featured a pencil art demonstration by Sadashiv Sawant and culminated in the announcement of grant recipients. The festival ended with an inspiring celebration of artistic excellence.
