The Philippine Art Festival (PAF), hosted in Manila, marked a milestone in Pursuit’s mission to empower artists and celebrate the transformative power of creativity. Building on the success of the Hyderabad Art Festival, this event brought together celebrated artists, curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts from India and the Philippines, emphasizing the healing, unifying, and inspiring aspects of art.

A central theme of PAF was the healing power of art, showcasing its role in fostering emotional well-being and social cohesion. Artists featured works that delved into personal expression and mental health, offering visual narratives that resonated deeply with audiences. This focus on healing reinforced the idea that art transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, connecting individuals through shared emotions and experiences.

PAF also aimed to strengthen ties between Indian and Filipino artists, promoting collaboration and cultural exchange. Highlights included Art Grants and Scholarship Awards for Filipino artists, worth over 300,000 PHP, offering emerging talents opportunities to grow and gain international recognition. Pursuit’s commitment to nurturing creativity was further demonstrated through interactive sessions, exhibitions, and workshops, fostering connections within the art community.

The festival featured an exclusive art auction, where collectors had the chance to invest in remarkable works from artists such as Bijay Biswaal, Ronald “Bullet” Dematera, and Ram Mallari Jr. This platform allowed emerging and established creators to gain broader exposure while connecting with art enthusiasts and collectors.

Environmental awareness and social justice were other key focuses. Artists used their platforms to highlight pressing global issues, from climate change to cultural preservation, sparking meaningful conversations through compelling visual stories.

A significant addition to the festival was its emphasis on mentorship and education. PAF provided resources to empower younger artists and create an ecosystem of support. Esteemed jury members, including internationally recognized artists like Ronald “Bullet” Dematera and Bijay Biswaal, lent their expertise, further enriching the event.

The Philippine Art Festival reflects Pursuit’s vision of art as a bridge across cultures, a tool for healing, and a vehicle for change. Pursuit remains committed to empowering artists and fostering connections that promote creativity, collaboration, and cultural appreciation on a global scale.
